Schnitzel, strudel, and Kölsch... No better place to try them all than in Cologne, Germany. This September, I spent a weekend soaking up the autumn vibe in Germany's 4th largest city.
While I couldn't smell any actual cologne, the streets smelled like autumn and the leaves had started to change colour.
Köln Dom
You can't visit the city without noticing the massive and beautiful cathedral towering about everything. It's the 4th-tallest church building in the world!
Old Town Köln
The old town has an old European village feel, with colourful buildings lining the walkway along the Rhine river.
This famous view has the beautiful Great St. Martin Church towering in the background.
Local Flavours
A trip to this city isn't complete without a taste of the local flavours - schnitzel, Kölsch and deeeeelicious apple strudel (not pictured, too yummy to photograph!)
Local Galleries
To step outside the tourist streets, I found a real nice underground gallery at Die Kunstagentin.
On a perfect autumn's day, there's no better place than to walk along the river and cross the Hohenzollern Bridge for a full view of the coast :)
